Rules & Procedures
- The pool is closed from 1pm to 2pm daily for cleaning and maintenance.
- Please note: During Holidays and Vacation weeks there will be exceptions.
- All guests entering the pool area must wear the correct colored wristband for that day and are available at the Front Desk.
- Proper attire is required. Please wear shoes and appropriate swimsuit cover-up at all times while walking through the Inn’s hallways, lobbies and restaurant.
- On the day of your departure, the pool is available to you. Due to our 11:00am check out policy, use of the pool after 11:00am on the day of your departure is prohibited.
Pool Rules
At John Carver Inn & Spa, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. To ensure a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for all guests, please follow these rules when using our pool facilities:
Food and Beverages:
- Outside food, coolers, or alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the pool area.
- Glass containers are strictly prohibited for guest safety.
- A full-service restaurant and vending machines are conveniently available nearby for your refreshment needs.
Supervision of Children:
- Guests under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times.
- One adult may supervise up to five children. The supervising adult must remain inside the pool area throughout their visit.
Pool Capacity, Monitoring, and Safety Practices:
- Our attendants and lifeguards carefully monitor the number of swimmers to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment. If the pool becomes overcrowded, guests may be asked to exit the water until it is safe to resume swimming.
- Running, jumping, diving, roughhousing, or unsafe play (such as “chicken fights” or shoulder play) is not allowed in the pool area.
Health & Sanitation Procedures:
- Children must be toilet trained or wear approved swim diapers while in the pool. Disposable diapers are not permitted. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the Front Desk.
- If a situation arises that impacts the cleanliness or sanitary conditions of the pool, we are required by law to clear and close the pool immediately for thorough cleaning and sanitization.
- The pool will remain closed until it meets all health and safety standards. We appreciate your understanding that pool access may be unavailable during this process, and compensation cannot be offered for any lost pool time.
Slide Safety Rules
For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, please review and follow these rules before using the waterslide:
- Guests must be 36 inches or taller to ride the slide.
- Eyeglasses are not permitted while riding.
- For safety reasons, spectators may not wait on the stairs or in the splashdown pool. If your child cannot exit the pool and reach the stairs independently, they may not use the slide.
- Only one rider at a time is allowed on the slide.
- Life jackets, water wings, and other inflatable devices are not permitted on the slide.
- Riders must proceed feet first, lying on their back. Sitting upright, stopping, kneeling, rotating, or tumbling while on the slide is not allowed.
- Running or unsafe behavior on the stairs or slide area is strictly prohibited.
Hot Tub Rules
To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all guests, we kindly ask that you keep the following in mind when using our hot tubs:
- Age Requirement: In accordance with recommendations from the Plymouth Board of Health, guests must be 16 years of age or older and accompanied by an adult (18+) to use the hot tub.
- Family-Friendly Environment: We kindly ask that all guests help us maintain a respectful, family-friendly atmosphere while enjoying the hot tub.
For your convenience, we provide well-maintained changing areas, showers, and complimentary lockers near the pool.
- Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Guests are welcome to bring their own locks for personal use.
- Fresh pool towels are provided for all guests.
